The Morning After

Ah, there is nothing like a morning after....after a good adventure....after visiting a brewpub.  As all of you know, Jim loves to make and drink beer.  Everywhere we go, if he sees a brewpub it becomes a sight we must visit.  After a lovely drive to see the horses, the brewpub was next on our list.  Since Rock Springs is just a small town, the drive to the pub was a short one.  The challenge was to find a parking spot for BAT (big a-- truck) where the tail end would not be in the traffic.  After circling the block, we found a spot and sandwiched ourselves in.

The pub has been in operation since 1997.  It has a warm atmosphere with lots of western influence, what else?  We settled in to enjoy a bite of a late lunch and enjoy a taste of a beer or two.  They had a wide variety, so we sample several before choosing just the right one.  The beer was quite good.  Sitting next to us was a friendly soul who was lonely and wanted to chat.  One thing led to another and time passed quickly.  Before we knew it, the after work crowd began to arrive and the atmosphere was charged with laughter and fun.

At our ages, you would think we would have the sense to leave before the beer overcame our sensibilities.  Not us.  We stayed way too long, enjoying the company and conversation.  When we returned to the RV, I knew we were in trouble.  It was not long before we both fell asleep and had restless nights filled with strange dreams.

Now, in the light of day, I have to ask myself why?  The morning after is certainly not as much fun as the evening before.  Ah, no matter this too will pass.  After all, this trip is about seeing new sights, meeting new friends and going with the flow.  Let's see, what can we do today?
